Even if you’ve been booted off, you can salvage your Netflix experience by transferring your profile to a new or existing account, ensuring your recommendations, saved lists, and settings remain intact.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to enable and utilize Netflix’s Transfer Profile feature:
Enable the Profile Transfer Feature:
- On a computer, visit the Netflix website, log in, and navigate to the profile you wish to transfer.
- Hover over your profile icon in the top right, click on “Transfer Profile” in the dropdown menu, and on the next page, hit “Allow.”
- On a mobile device, open the Netflix app, enter your profile, tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, access Account settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap “Turn on profile transfers.” Follow the prompts to allow profile transfers.
Upon enabling the feature, you’ll receive a notification indicating that profile transfers will be activated soon, typically within a couple of days.
