At CES 2024, Dell is introducing a pair of groundbreaking UltraSharp displays, ushering in a new era of connectivity and performance. The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW) and the Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U3425WE) are designed to seamlessly integrate with your laptop through Thunderbolt, delivering a harmonious blend of high refresh rates and high resolution for an elevated content creation experience. Priced at $2,399.99 and $1,019.99 respectively, the 40-inch U4025QW and 34-inch U3425WE offer tilt, swivel, and height adjustments, providing users with customizable viewing options. Supporting Thunderbolt 4, these displays serve as versatile alternatives to Thunderbolt docks, boasting up to 140W power delivery to your laptop, eliminating the need for a separate charger.
The flagship U4025QW boasts impressive specifications, including a 5K resolution (5120×2160), a rapid 120Hz refresh rate, and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. The collaboration with LG has resulted in IPS Black Panel technology, enhancing contrast ratios. Additionally, the display covers 99 percent DCI-P3 color space, 100 percent sRGB, and 100 percent BT709, all adjustable with Dell’s Color Management software. On the other hand, the U3425WE, with its 3440×1440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, offers a slightly scaled-down yet still powerful experience, supplying 90W of power for laptop charging. Both displays feature an ambient light sensor for power efficiency, and Dell’s ComfortView Plus technology reduces blue light exposure to just 35 percent.
In terms of connectivity, both monitors include HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, along with three USB-C ports, four USB-A ports, and 2.5Gbps Ethernet on the underside. The front panel reveals three additional ports, two 10Gbps USB-C and one 10Gbps USB-A, although charging capabilities remain undisclosed. Dell’s Display Manager software suggests integrated KVM functionality, enhancing user convenience.
