Intel’s Arc GPUs are receiving a substantial boost in performance, thanks to the introduction of new drivers that amalgamate previously separate drivers for desktop Arc graphics cards and the Arc GPU integrated into Core Ultra laptop processors. This unification has resulted in noteworthy performance enhancements across a broad spectrum of DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games.
For the Arc A-series graphics cards, the average performance increase stands at an impressive 37.4 percent across a diverse array of predominantly DX11 games. Notably, in games like Just Cause 4, users can experience an astonishing 268 percent increase in frames per second with “Very High” graphics settings at 1080p resolution. Intel has provided a detailed breakdown of improvements for popular titles such as Albion Online, Anno 1800, Apex Legends, and more, showcasing the substantial gains achieved across different gaming scenarios.
However, the story is slightly different for Intel Core Ultra processors equipped with integrated Arc graphics. In titles like The Last of Us Part 1, at “Very Low” graphics settings and 1080p resolution, users will witness a more modest 6 percent increase in frames per second.
Additionally, the new drivers introduce support for several upcoming games, including Enshrouded, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, and Palworld.
