Apple has announced a significant shift for Windows users who utilize iTunes for Windows with an iPhone or to access Apple Music and Apple TV. The company has launched new standalone experiences for Apple Music and Apple TV, as well as a new Devices management app for Windows 10 or later. This new app is recommended over iTunes for Windows.

The new Apple Devices app allows iPhone users to manage their devices, perform backups, sync data, and install iOS updates. The Apple Music app provides access to the Apple Music service and personal libraries, and also manages music on Apple Devices. The Apple TV app gives access to the Apple TV+ service and personal libraries, supporting 4K playback, subscription services, and MLS Season Pass.

For audiobooks and podcasts, Windows users will continue to use the iTunes for Windows app. This app is also used if any of the new apps are not compatible with your PC. Apple released iTunes for Windows on October 16, 2003, with support for iPod and iTunes Music Store.

In addition, Apple has released a redesigned iCloud for Windows app. This new app provides a clearer view of what apps are using iCloud, how much iCloud+ storage is being used, and more. It can be used to access iCloud features, such as iCloud Photos, iCloud Drive, iCloud Passwords, and iCloud Contacts, Calendars, and Bookmarks.
