Google is bolstering its AI services with a series of enhancements, particularly in the realm of image generation, which is now integrated into Google Bard through its new Imagen 2 technology. This upgrade promises to deliver images that are more lifelike and devoid of any unwanted distortions, offering users a seamless visual experience. Notably, Google’s Gemini Pro chatbot technology, recently hailed as nearly the world’s best, is now being rolled out alongside Bard, expanding its accessibility across various platforms.

Additionally, Google is introducing a dedicated AI art tool, ImageFX, to complement its existing MusicFX and TextFX tools within the AI Test Kitchen beta program. This multifaceted improvement marks a significant stride for Bard, enhancing both the quality of its services and the breadth of AI integration across its platform. While the Gemini Pro upgrade was initially limited to a subset of users, it is now available in all supported languages, countries, and territories, amplifying its reach and impact.

Although Google has not divulged many specifics about the underlying parameters of Gemini Pro, it represents just one facet of a trio of related models. The introduction of Gemini Nano and the upcoming Ultra model, coupled with the potential implementation of an undisclosed subscription model, underscores Google’s commitment to advancing conversational AI capabilities. Notably, the public reception of Bard’s Gemini Pro model positions it as one of the top AI chatbots, solidifying its status as a must-try tool for users seeking engaging conversations.

Furthermore, Google’s foray into in-line generative AI art with ImageFX signifies a notable expansion of its creative offerings. While competitors like Microsoft’s Copilot and Google Search’s SGE technology have explored similar avenues, ImageFX marks Google’s concerted effort to catch up and offer users a comprehensive suite of AI-driven artistic tools. With the ability to create standalone AI art and swiftly modify styles using “expressive chips,” ImageFX empowers users to unleash their creativity with ease. Moreover, all images generated using ImageFX are equipped with metadata to identify them as AI-generated, enhancing transparency and providing users with valuable context. The Imagen 2 technology underpinning ImageFX boasts significant advancements in image quality and realism, ensuring a seamless user experience while mitigating potential issues commonly encountered in text-to-image systems.
