iDrive, a leading online backup service, has rolled out an exciting new feature: unlimited cloud-to-cloud backup for Microsoft 365 Personal accounts.

This enhancement may ring a bell for some users, as iDrive previously introduced a similar offering tailored to Google Workspace and Office 365 business users. This service covered a range of Microsoft applications, including OneDrive, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. Now, with the addition of Microsoft 365 Personal, users gain the ability to safeguard their data from applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Excel. Priced at $20 per user annually, this new plan maintains the same per-seat pricing as last year’s professional offering.

iDrive already stands out as one of the top recommendations for cloud backup solutions, offering versatile options to back up your PC to the cloud. With plans ranging from a free tier to paid options accommodating storage needs from 5TB to 100TB annually, iDrive caters to various user requirements.

The newly introduced backup plan ensures data security by monitoring and backing up your data three times daily. Utilizing AES 256-bit encrypted transfer and storage, iDrive securely transfers your data to its servers. In the event of accidental file deletion or corruption, iDrive facilitates seamless file recovery within your account or allows for downloading to your device. Additionally, users can search for and recover specific files and folders. With the capability to capture multiple snapshots of stored files, iDrive enables users to retrieve specific versions of their data, adding an extra layer of reassurance.

Online backup services like iDrive adhere to the “rule of three,” emphasizing the importance of maintaining three separate instances of your data. While users may already back up their Microsoft 365 data to OneDrive, iDrive’s offering provides additional peace of mind, ensuring the preservation of stored data for future retrieval.
