Samsung often makes waves with its Odyssey gaming monitors by going ridiculously huge. They’re big—really big. But the latest models bring its acclaimed OLED panels to more manageable sizes. You can opt for a 32-inch 4K screen if you want big but not too big, or go for speed with a 27-inch version.

The Odyssey G80SD is ideal for showcasing your high-end graphics card’s prowess, featuring a 32-inch, 3840×2160 panel. With the same built-in streaming capabilities as Samsung’s smart TVs, you can enjoy it even if your gaming PC is in another room. The 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time make it fast, though not quite esports-level. It includes DisplayPort and dual HDMI, but lacks USB-C video, which might keep the price in check—hopefully.

For those seeking speed, the Samsung Odyssey G60SD offers a 27-inch, 1440p panel with a blistering 360Hz refresh rate. This model skips the smart tech and built-in speakers, focusing on PC gamers. Both monitors come with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification (no mention of Nvidia G-Sync) and the same ports.

Both models feature flat, “glare-free” panels, helpful since their brightness is a modest 250 nits. They also include Samsung OLED Safeguard+, a burn-in protection technology using a pulsating heat pipe, a new evaporative coolant system, and brightness reduction for static images.

Despite the impressive features, there’s no mention of an extended warranty, which would be reassuring. Samsung hasn’t provided release dates or prices, but both monitors are labeled as “2024 models,” so they should be available before the year ends.
