Recently, Microsoft added several exciting games to Game Pass Ultimate, including Octopath Traveler 1 and 2. Here’s a closer look at the latest additions:
My Time at Sandrock
Describing this game as “cozy” might seem odd given its post-apocalyptic setting, 300 years after the destruction of most technology. However, the presence of charming elements like two chonky cats named Banjo and Captain, who have quests for you, adds a warm touch. This life sim features crafting, farming, and occasional battles with bandits and monsters.
Kerplerth
Surviving on a hostile alien planet can be tough, but this 2D sandbox survival game adds a fun twist. You’ll forage for supplies and craft items like spacecraft parts to aid in your survival. The game also supports online multiplayer, allowing you to team up with others to overcome challenging enemies.
EA Sports FC 24
If your favorite team isn’t performing well in Euro 2024, now’s your chance to change their fate. Compete with your favorite country’s team against top players from around the world, aiming for international glory and the Henri Delaunay Trophy.
SteamWorld Dig
Fans of Minecraft and Terraria will love this game, which involves digging below the earth, discovering gems, and encountering monsters. The simple yet engaging gameplay has you selling gems on the surface while facing increasingly stronger monsters as you dig deeper. Each playthrough offers a unique experience with randomized encounters.
SteamWorld Dig 2
For those who enjoyed the original, SteamWorld Dig 2 offers more of the same addictive gameplay, with added story elements. Mysterious earthquakes threaten a small mining town, and it’s up to you to uncover the cause and save the day. Expect plenty of digging, gem collecting, and monster fighting.
Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders
Step into the shoes of the legendary outlaw Robin Hood in this action-adventure game. Together with your band of merry men, you’ll fight to free Sherwood from the oppressive Sheriff of Nottingham. The game features combat, hunting, crafting, and a mission to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor, with encounters with familiar characters like Lady Marian and Little John.
While these six games are being added to Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft is also removing several titles. Five games have already been taken down, and one more will leave the service on July 5. If you have any unfinished business in these games, you’ll need to purchase them separately:
