The buzz around AMD’s Ryzen X3D processors, renowned for their V-Cache technology that enhances gaming performance, has primarily centered on desktops. However, MSI is bringing that potent power to a portable format with the MSI Titan 18 Pro, featuring the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D processor.
While not the first laptop to integrate an AMD X3D processor (that distinction belongs to last year’s Asus ROG Strix Scar 17), the Titan 18 Pro stands out with its impressive specifications. Alongside the 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen processor, it boasts an Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU with a robust power delivery of up to 270 watts.
The laptop supports a maximum of 96GB DDR5 RAM across two sticks and offers ample storage with two M.2 slots capable of Gen5 speeds. Visuals are stunning on its 18-inch 4K Mini LED IPS display, boasting a refresh rate of 240Hz. Despite its high-performance components, the Titan 18 Pro includes a substantial 99.9 watt-hour battery, the largest permissible on many commercial flights, ensuring extended playtime on the go. The RGB keyboard, courtesy of SteelSeries, adds a touch of gaming flair.
Currently available through MSI’s China-facing storefront for approximately $3,050 (32,000 yuan), the Titan 18 Pro’s global availability remains uncertain. MSI has a track record of offering variations of the Titan 18 series with Intel processors more widely, such as the latest Core i9-14900HX.
