A few months ago, Nvidia launched its new all-in-one app that merges driver updates with a suite of tools and settings for gamers. Though still in beta, the Windows app has just received a major update, adding new features and even a free month of Xbox Game Pass.
Nvidia’s blog details the latest enhancements, including more granular control over monitor settings, allowing users to manually adjust resolution and refresh rate. The newly added System panel also brings RTX Video tools to the forefront, enabling HDR application to standard videos in browsers and VLC on compatible monitors.
Responding to user feedback, the update includes quality-of-life improvements such as alphabetical sorting of games in the Graphics tab and expanded language support. The FPS overlay now also displays 1% low rates, a critical metric for benchmarking, along with other stats like CPU usage.
Additionally, the app now integrates ChatRTX, a generative AI chatbot powered by your GPU, capable of functioning without connecting to external servers. For more details and a hands-on experience with ChatRTX, you can read my initial impressions here.
But the highlight for many will be the free month of Xbox Game Pass. This offer comes just in time for me to dive into the new Napoleonic-historical-fantasy-soulslike Flintlock without spending a dime. Simply download the app, log in with your Nvidia account, and claim the offer—though the GeForce Rewards page seems to be experiencing some errors due to high traffic.
