The Gigabyte GS34WQC is PCWorld’s pick for the best budget ultrawide gaming monitor on the market. At its regular $400 retail price, it’s already a good deal. At its oft-seen sale price of $300, it’s a steal.
But today you can get it on Amazon for the crazy low price of $263.99 using the on-page “click here” coupon, which is basically highway robbery. Um, the good kind.
The monitor comes with the semi-standard 3440×1440 resolution at 34 inches, which is basically a 1440p resolution stretched out to a 21:9 aspect ratio. Its VA LCD panel (fine for gaming and video, less so for media work) is boosted to a 144Hz refresh rate, which should put a budget gaming PC through its paces on newer high-end titles.
A subtle 1500R curve adds a bit of style, and there’s a headphone jack within easy reach for your gaming headset. Other than that, the GS34WQC is light on extras, with two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.6 ports and no USB capabilities at all.
But at this price, you can hardly complain about a lack of side dishes. It does have a standard VESA mount, so you can pair it up with a monitor arm for a bit of extra style and desk space.
Like I said, this monitor goes on sale frequently, but we’ve never seen it quite this low. There’s no telling how long it’ll remain in stock at this price. If you’re on the fence, read PCWorld’s full review of this monitor for all the juicy details. If you’re ready to buy, don’t forget to click the coupon to get this special Amazon discount.
