Ergonomic, modern, and powerful.
The Logitech G705 from the Aurora collection is aimed at gamers looking for a compact and ergonomic mouse that combines performance and design. With its small size and attractive appearance, it’s appealing to users with smaller hands. But can the G705 really impress in terms of performance and handling or does it fall short of expectations? Read on to find out.
Logitech G705: Design and workmanship
The Logitech G705 scores points with its sophisticated design, which is designed for small hands. It measures 105.8 x 68.1 x 39.4 millimeters and weighs 85 grams, making it light and easy to handle. The mouse is slim and modern-looking, and the White Mist colorway is lovely with its lavender accents–it’s a real eye-catcher

The high-quality workmanship ensures that the mouse remains robust even after prolonged use. However, gamers who are used to a heavier model may find the G705 a little too light, which can lead to a feeling of less control during fast movements.
Logitech G705: Technical details and functions
Equipped with the in-house Lightsync sensor, which offers a sensitivity of up to 8,200 DPI, the G705 delivers a precise and fast response. The six programmable buttons can be customized via Logitech’s G-Hub software. The RGB lighting can also be configured via the software and synchronized with other Logitech devices.
These customization options are a great advantage, but do not offer the flexibility of higher-priced models with higher DPI settings. Nevertheless, the performance is perfectly adequate for most gaming genres.
Logitech G705: Wireless connectivity options
The Logitech G705 offers two wireless connectivity options that ensure both flexibility and reliable performance. You can connect the mouse either via Bluetooth or Logitech’s proprietary Lightspeed technology (2.4 GHz wireless).
Bluetooth is ideal for use on the move or when working with different devices while the Lightspeed connection is particularly recommended for gaming sessions. It offers extremely low latency and stable, lag-free transmission for responsive control. To use Lightspeed, however, you need to connect the USB dongle supplied.
Logitech G705: Ergonomics and comfort
The G705 offers excellent ergonomics for gamers with smaller hands. The contoured shape supports different grip styles and ensures comfort even during longer gaming sessions. The buttons are easy to reach without having to reposition the hand, which is particularly advantageous in hectic gaming situations. For users with larger hands, however, the mouse may be a little too small, which could be uncomfortable in the long run.
Logitech G705: Battery life
The battery life of the Logitech G705 is up to 40 hours with the RGB lighting switched on. For longer use, the lighting can be switched off, which extends the runtime to up to 145 hours.
This is sufficient for most users, but gamers who value intensive RGB lighting may find the comparatively short battery life a disadvantage. The ability to continue using the mouse while charging partially compensates for this disadvantage.
In practical use, the Logitech G705 shows its strengths above all in fast games where precision is required. The large mouse slider and the low latency thanks to the Lightspeed connection ensure smooth and lag-free control, which is particularly advantageous in FPS titles. The mouse offers a pleasant clicking sensation that does not diminish even after several hours. One possible disadvantage, however, is that the lightweight design could make some players feel less in control, especially during intense gaming situations.
