MSI is diving deep into the AI wave at the German trade show IFA with a slew of high-end devices, and it’s clear that the company is betting big on artificial intelligence. While most of their new products feature the latest processors and graphics cards, it’s the MSI MEG Vision X AI that truly stands out. This desktop PC is not only packed with top-tier components, including AMD Ryzen 9000 or Intel Arrow Lake CPUs and Nvidia or AMD graphics cards, but it also boasts a striking vertical touchscreen that dominates its front panel. MSI positions this large display as a “Human Machine Interface,” intended to interact with the machine’s proprietary AI Engine. This AI chatbot is designed to assist with tasks such as searching and summarizing local documents and monitoring system performance, but specifics about its capabilities remain vague. The MEG Vision X AI is slated for release later this year, though pricing and final specifications are yet to be disclosed.

In addition to this futuristic desktop, MSI also showcased an intriguing OLED gaming monitor at IFA. The MEG 31URX features a 32-inch OLED display and incorporates AI Sky Sight technology, which syncs the monitor’s rear-mounted LED lights with the on-screen colors for a dynamic visual effect. While this is a cool feature, it’s worth noting that similar technologies have been around for some time, and the role of AI in this implementation remains somewhat unclear. The monitor’s release date and pricing are still pending.

MSI is also updating its laptop lineup, including the Summit, Prestige, Stealth, and Creator series, all branded with an “AI” tag. Notably, the Summit 13 and Summit A16 models offer high-performance specifications, such as AMD Ryzen 9 processors and fast LPDDR5X memory. The Summit A16 features a 16-inch touchscreen with a 165Hz refresh rate, while the Summit 13 offers a smaller, more portable design with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor. The premium Stealth A16 impresses with its magnesium alloy build and high-end specs, including an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics. This model also features a high-resolution 4K Mini-LED screen and extensive storage options, though it has a limited number of ports and a maximum of 32GB of RAM.
