Following Microsoft’s monumental $75.4 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard last year, many have been eager to see how the tech giant would leverage its newfound intellectual property, which includes beloved franchises such as Call of Duty, Diablo, Overwatch, and Spyro.
In an exciting development, Polygon reports that both StarCraft Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection will be available on Game Pass starting November 5, following the addition of Diablo 4 to the service in March.
Beginning November 5, Game Pass subscribers will have the opportunity to experience all the campaigns in the StarCraft series since its debut in 1998. This is particularly fantastic news for real-time strategy (RTS) enthusiasts who enjoy single-player gameplay, as both StarCraft and StarCraft 2 are only free for multiplayer modes.
The available campaigns will include the original StarCraft campaign, along with the Brood War expansion, as well as Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, and Legacy of the Void campaigns, in addition to the Nova Covert Ops mission pack.
To access this content, you must have a subscription to either PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate. This makes sense, considering that both StarCraft and StarCraft 2 are PC-exclusive titles without console versions.
With heavyweights like Diablo and StarCraft making their way to the service, fans can anticipate even more Activision Blizzard franchises appearing on Game Pass in the future.
