Get on this deal while you can

If you’re looking for a new Android tablet, you may be put off by the starting price of $799 for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9. So, what should you do?

As it turns out, the solution is a simple one. Just get the Galaxy Tab A9+ instead, which retains the 11-inch display and other core features but reduces the asking price to $219.99.

And if you’re in the US, things get even better right now. Amazon’s Big Deal Days sale offers a further 31% discount, making it extraordinary value for money at only $151.99.

Looking at the price history of this tablet, this is only $2 more than the lowest it’s ever been, which was back in Amazon’s summer Prime Day event.

However, you might be questioning the headline of this article. If the Tab A9+ is one of the best budget tablets that Samsung makes, why is it behind the regular Galaxy Tab A9 in the Tech Advisor round-up?

Basically, that comes down to availability and regular pricing. The regular Tab A9 isn’t available in the US, but the A9+ is a worthy alternative. The extra you have to pay in the UK and other markets usually isn’t worth it for most people, though even that has now been eliminated by this hefty discount.

Unless you need top-tier performance, the Galaxy Tab A9+ will do everything you need it to and more. In our 8/10 review, we praised its everyday performance, design, audio and user-friendly software, especially with four years of security updates.

However, you don’t have long to secure it at this price. As part of Amazon’s flash sale, the deal is likely to expire at 11.59pm on Wednesday 9 October.

Of course, you’ll have to be a Prime member to take advantage of it, which gives you access to free next-day delivery.

After a 30-day free trial, Prime costs £8.99/$14.99 per month or £95/$139 if you pay annually. However, there are plenty of other perks, including access to the Prime Video streaming service and 100 million songs via Amazon Music Prime.
