Microsoft continues to revamp its Microsoft Store, with recent updates designed to create a more interactive and intuitive experience. In August, the company started testing updates to the Downloads and Library sections, and as of yesterday, a redesigned product page experience has entered testing for Windows Insiders. According to the Windows Insider blog, these updates are expected to “start rolling out to non-Insiders soon,” opening up the enhanced experience to a broader audience.
The new product pages focus on showcasing apps and games in a more immersive layout, including the ability to preview video trailers directly within the Store. If a trailer isn’t available, the page will display a hero image instead. For users who prefer a quieter browsing experience, autoplay settings for trailers can easily be disabled. These changes are optimized for both light and dark mode, offering a seamless experience regardless of theme preference.
With promised speed boosts and more updates in the pipeline, Microsoft’s ongoing improvements are setting the stage for a more dynamic and enjoyable Store experience. Users can expect a range of new features, signaling that these changes are only the beginning of Microsoft’s future plans.
