HBO has some incredible series this year, including the spin-off of The Batman, The Penguin, and Dune: Prophecy, which is rolling out now. If you want to watch them, now is the perfect time.
New and returning subscribers can sign up to Max for just $2.99 per month for half a year.
You can sign up for this on the Max website, but the deal is also available if you sign up for the platform through the Apple Store or Google Play, as well as Amazon and Roku devices.
This saving is available on the ad-supported plan, which typically costs $9.99 per month – meaning you’re making a saving of 70% per month. After the six months are up, the subscription will revert to the standard price.
This deal is only available until Cyber Monday, which is 2 December 2024. Sadly, no equivalent deal is available on the ad-free plan, which starts from $16.99 per month.
This isn’t the lowest price we’ve seen for Max – a few years ago the service was discounted to $1.99 per month. However, this deal was only for three months. This year, you get six months of the service at a cheaper rate, so it’s still a brilliant deal.
Max includes some of the biggest film hits of this year such as Dune: Part Two, as well classic staples like the Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings movies. You’ll also be able to stream The Last of Us TV series, Succession and House of the Dragon.
As well as ads, the lower-priced plan of HBO Max has resolution capped at 1080p and doesn’t include downloads for offline viewing.
Max isn’t available in the UK, but most of the content shown on here is syndicated on Sky’s flexible streaming service, Now.
