Microsoft appears convinced that users need even easier access to emojis, hinting at a potential taskbar shortcut that could bring up the emoji panel at any time. According to reports from Windows Latest, Microsoft may add an “Emojis and more” button to the Windows 11 taskbar, allowing users to insert emojis with a simple click, no matter what app or window they’re using.

Currently, there is a keyboard shortcut (Windows key + Period or Windows key + Semicolon) that opens the emoji panel in Windows 11, though many users may not be aware of it. This new taskbar option could make emoji access much more intuitive for those who don’t use keyboard shortcuts or who find it easier to click an icon rather than remembering a specific combination.

Microsoft has not officially confirmed this feature, nor has it set a timeline for its potential rollout. However, references to it in leaked Windows 11 code suggest that it may be in development. This addition would align with Microsoft’s efforts to make Windows 11 more user-friendly and visually expressive, emphasizing accessibility and convenience for all users.
