In conjunction with the launch of One UI 7, Samsung plans to update its Good Lock app and make it globally available through the Google Play Store.
Good Lock is an app that allows users to customise and modify various aspects of Samsung’s interface. It has previously been limited to certain regions and is only available through the Galaxy Store.
Samsung confirmed the news in a forum saying (translated from Korean) “Starting with One UI 7.0 Good Lock, Good Lock can be downloaded from the Play Store as well as the Galaxy Store, and Good Lock can be used in all countries. This is something that many customers have been asking for, and we expect that this will provide more convenient accessibility to more Galaxy users.”
In addition to global availability, Good Lock will also have a redesigned user interface that promises better usability. The new design includes filters for specific Good Lock apps and a new “My Page” tab that allows users to better manage their Good Lock apps.
One UI 7 is based on Android 15 and is available in beta for the Galaxy S24 series. The operating system is expected to launch on the Galaxy S25 series later in January.
