We finally have a date for Samsung’s latest One UI 7 software to come to older Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 range arrived with One UI 7 straight out of the box, but it’s taken a while for the company’s latest UI to filter through to the rest of the range.

Now Samsung has announced that One UI 7 based on Android 15 will be rolling out to previous phones from April.

One UI 7 rollout plans

One UI 7 will commence rolling out to older Samsung phones around the world from April 7. In the US, that’ll come a little later on 10 April.

The first Samsung phones to receive the One UI 7 update, as you might expect, will be the Galaxy S24 series, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (still technically Samsung’s top-end phone option) and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

More Samsung phones and tablets will follow.

Which devices have been confirmed for One UI 7?

Here’s the full list of older Samsung devices that have been confirmed to be receiving One UI 7:

What does One UI 7 add?

Built on top of Android 15, One UI 7 boasts a sharp new look, redesigned widgets, a split notification menu, and various AI enhancements.

The Now Bar provides real time updates right on the lock screen, including information on music tracks and fitness progress.

New Galaxy AI features include AI Select, which provides contextual AI assistance based on what you’re doing at the time. While watching a video, for example, it might suggest saving that video as a GIF. Writing Assist, meanwhile, lets you summarise or format text, while Audio Eraser lets you remove specific sounds from your videos.

Our Galaxy S25 Ultra reviewer found One UI 7 to be an all-round improvement, providing “slick and snappy animations that outclass most Android rivals” and genuinely useful AI implementation.
