Microsoft has now made ISO files for Windows 11 25H2 available for download, marking the next major version of the operating system. Alongside the ISOs, the company has also released the so-called “enablement package,” which allows users already on Windows 11 24H2 to upgrade directly to 25H2 without needing the full ISO file. This dual release ensures flexibility for users who either want a clean installation or simply prefer a quick, incremental upgrade.
The ISO files cover both x64 systems (for Intel and AMD PCs) and Arm64 systems (for Snapdragon-based devices), with editions spanning Home, Pro, and Education. They’re also available in 38 languages, making them suitable for a wide range of users around the globe. According to Windows Central, this is the RTM (Released To Manufacturing) version of Windows 11 25H2—effectively the same build PC manufacturers will preload onto new hardware. While Microsoft no longer officially uses the RTM label, the build number (26200.6584) confirms this is the finalized release. On average, the x64 ISOs weigh in at around 7GB, while Arm64 versions are slightly smaller.
Downloading the ISO allows for a complete reinstallation of Windows 11, bringing any PC up to 25H2 in one clean step. This is especially useful for systems still running 23H2 or earlier. However, users already on 24H2 will likely prefer the enablement package, which is far smaller in size, installs more quickly, and minimizes downtime. The enablement package (KB5054156) is available for both x64 and Arm64 systems and will eventually be distributed through Windows Update once 25H2 is officially launched.
Until Microsoft formally announces the rollout, adventurous users can get started early by manually downloading the ISO or enablement package. With Windows 11 25H2 introducing key new features—such as a refreshed Start menu, interface polish, and under-the-hood improvements—this release sets the stage for Microsoft’s next big step in modernizing the Windows experience.
