Donald Trump has appointed several leading technology executives to a key advisory body on science and artificial intelligence policy, signaling closer coordination between government and the tech industry.
Among the newly named members are Mark Zuckerberg of Meta Platforms, Jensen Huang of Nvidia, and Larry Ellison of Oracle.
Additional members include Sergey Brin from Alphabet Inc. and Lisa Su of AMD. The group will serve on the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, which is expected to guide U.S. strategy in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
The council is part of broader efforts by the administration to strengthen U.S. leadership in AI, particularly amid growing competition with China. It will contribute to shaping policies aimed at accelerating innovation while addressing regulatory challenges.
The appointments reflect increasing alignment between policymakers and major technology firms as AI becomes central to economic growth, national security and global competition. The council is expected to expand further, with additional members to be named in the coming months.
