Microsoft Warns of Outlook Launch Issues After Windows 11 24H2 Update with Google Workspace Sync
Microsoft has issued a warning for users who have updated to Windows 11 24H2 and are using Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook. According to Microsoft, users may experience problems when trying to open Outlook if the Google Workspace Sync tool is installed. This tool is widely used to sync Google Workspace emails, calendar events, tasks, contacts, and notes within Outlook, making it a crucial tool for those working with both services.
The issue arises because the Windows 11 24H2 update can prevent Outlook from launching altogether. Users may also find that they are unable to uninstall Google Workspace Sync due to the failure to open Outlook.
To resolve this, users must update Google Workspace Sync to version 4.3.68.0. Once updated, Outlook should launch properly again. If you’re still using an older version of Google Workspace Sync, Microsoft has blocked the Windows 11 24H2 update until the sync tool is updated, preventing the update from being installed.
