Outlook Login Issues Persist for Windows Users: Error Code 0x80049dd3 Continues

Outlook users on Windows 10 and Windows 11 have been grappling with login issues since early December, with error code 0x80049dd3 being reported across various forums and in Microsoft’s Feedback Hub. When attempting to log in, affected users are greeted by the error message, disrupting access to their email accounts.

Although Microsoft initially claimed to have resolved the problem, multiple user reports continue to highlight that the issue persists. One user explained on Microsoft’s forum that when trying to access their account on a Surface Pro, they were prompted to log in despite already being logged in, only to encounter the 0x80049dd3 error when attempting to authenticate. Another user described similar issues on Windows 10, with repeated prompts to log in and the persistent error message.

Despite these ongoing issues, Microsoft has acknowledged the bug and confirmed that the problem is under investigation. However, no workarounds have been provided, and the only recommendation for users is to wait for an official fix.
