Corsair Debuts USB4 Portable SSDs and Unique Touchscreen at CES

Gamers know the value of SSDs inside their PCs, but Corsair wants to extend that speed and convenience to portable storage. At CES, Corsair unveiled the EX400U series, a sleek new line of USB4-powered portable SSDs that combines cutting-edge performance with innovative design.

The EX400U is compact and stylish, resembling a small tin of mints, and features MagSafe compatibility, allowing it to attach to the back of iPhones for convenient storage on the go. Measuring just 64mm wide and 12mm thick, its minimalistic design includes a single USB-C port that supports USB4 and Thunderbolt 4. Performance is a standout feature, with up to 4000MB/s read speeds and 3600MB/s write speeds, rivaling some of the fastest portable drives on the market. Pricing starts at $140 for 1TB, $200 for 2TB, and $360 for 4TB, with availability beginning January 23rd.

Corsair also teased the Xeneon Edge, a 14.5-inch ultra-wide touchscreen designed for widgets, interactive controls, and more. With a 2560×720 resolution, this compact display connects via USB-C DP-Alt mode or HDMI, offering flexibility for mounting horizontally, vertically, or even as a replacement for a 360mm radiator in a PC case. Expected in the second quarter of 2025, the Xeneon Edge promises to expand Corsair’s focus on customizable gaming setups.
