Netflix Now Lets You Download Entire Seasons with One Click
While Netflix has faced its share of criticism for various industry practices, there’s no denying its massive library of binge-worthy shows—especially if you use a VPN to access region-locked content. One feature that Netflix has long offered is the ability to download episodes for offline viewing, even on the most basic “with ads” plan. But what if you want to watch all 180 episodes of Seinfeld without downloading them one by one? Well, Netflix has just made it a lot easier.
In a recent blog post, Netflix announced that the much-loved Season Download button, which was previously only available on Android, is now available for iPhone and iPad users. This new feature lets you download entire seasons with just one click, making binge-watching that much more convenient.
How to Download Complete Seasons
To download an entire season, simply search for the series you want to binge. On the show’s details page, you’ll see the usual “Play” and “Download” buttons. Scroll down, and you’ll find a new “Download Season” button next to options like “My List” and “Rate.” Clicking this will queue all the episodes of that season for download, which will then be available in the “My Netflix” tab for offline viewing.
Who Can Download Seasons on Netflix?
The Season Download feature is available on Android devices, Fire tablets, and iPhones/iPads with the latest versions of their Netflix apps. However, it’s important to note that download limits still apply depending on your Netflix subscription. For example, ad-free plans allow up to 100 active downloads per device, while ad-supported plans are limited to 15 downloads per device per month. If you’re on an ad-supported plan, you might hit that cap with just a couple of seasons.
