Withings is set to launch the ScanWatch Nova on Tuesday, a hybrid smartwatch that seamlessly integrates advanced health-tracking capabilities from the $350 ScanWatch 2, all wrapped in a more luxurious design.
The ScanWatch Nova inherits the ScanWatch 2’s standout features, boasting 24/7 temperature tracking and FDA-cleared sensors for blood oxygen and ECG. Notably, the temperature sensor proves valuable in signaling the onset of illness or detecting overheating during intense workouts.
What truly distinguishes the Nova is its striking diver watch aesthetic. Featuring a ceramic and stainless steel rotating bezel, water resistance up to 10 ATM, and sapphire glass with an anti-reflection coating, it exudes both style and durability. The package includes both an Oyster metal wristband and an FKM wristband, ensuring comfort even during rigorous exercise.
The OLED grayscale screen showcases phone notifications directly on the watchface, and Withings promises an impressive 30-day battery life. When it’s time to recharge, the Nova comes with a convenient USB-C cable, reaching full battery capacity in just two hours. Seamlessly syncing with both iPhone and Android devices through the Withings app, the ScanWatch Nova offers a comprehensive and user-friendly experience.
Initially available on the Withings website, the ScanWatch Nova will hit retail shelves in January, marking a new era in the convergence of health and style within the wearable tech landscape.
