One of the most talked-about tools in the Windows community right now is Flyoobe, a free and lightweight utility designed to give users far more control over the Windows 11 installation process. Its biggest claim to fame is that it makes it possible to install Windows 11 on PCs that don’t meet Microsoft’s strict hardware requirements, essentially bypassing the compatibility checks that would otherwise prevent older or unsupported machines from upgrading. The developers behind Flyoobe have been rolling out updates at a rapid pace, and today version 1.10 has gone live, arriving just four days after the 1.7 release that landed last week.
Version 1.7 was already a major step forward, introducing enhancements to the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) setup screen and giving users the ability to disable AI-powered features like Copilot during the initial installation. This was a significant change for many users who prefer a more traditional Windows experience and who don’t want AI-driven tools integrated into their daily workflow right from the start.
Now, version 1.10 takes things further with a complete overhaul of navigation within the OOBE, making the flow more intuitive and easier to follow. The interface has also been refined to look and feel more familiar to Windows users, lowering the learning curve for first-time installers. In addition, this update improves AI detection mechanisms, squashes bugs and minor edge cases that could previously cause hiccups, and introduces new extensions that open the door to deeper customization. One standout example is “Windows 11 Honest Mode,” a transparency-focused extension that reveals what the operating system is running behind the scenes, giving users more insight into processes that are usually hidden.
Flyoobe continues to be available for free, and Windows enthusiasts can download the latest version right now from its official GitHub releases page. For anyone who has an older computer that Microsoft has left behind, or for those who want to take back more control over how Windows 11 is configured, Flyoobe is shaping up to be an essential piece of software.
