Canva has unveiled a major update to its creative platform, introducing a fully integrated AI-powered suite and a revamped video editor aimed at expanding its professional and enterprise reach. The company is branding the new platform as its “Creative Operating System,” though the term is more a reflection of its unified approach to creative tools rather than a literal operating system. With this update, Canva’s generative AI model can automatically produce layouts and content within seconds, seamlessly integrated across all Canva products. The built-in AI assistant, dubbed @askcanva, serves as an on-demand helper to guide users through design creation, automate tasks, and enhance productivity.

One of the most notable features in the release is Video 2.0, Canva’s new-generation video editor capable of building projects from prompts or working with templates to streamline video content creation. The suite also targets business and enterprise users with expanded tools for marketing and communication — including email design options, form integrations, and the ability to link Canva’s Code tool with its Sheets platform for more dynamic data-driven visuals. Rounding out the update is Canva Grow, a marketing-focused solution built to support full campaign management from concept to execution. Altogether, the revamped platform demonstrates Canva’s ambition to strengthen its position as an all-in-one creative ecosystem powered by AI.
