YouTube has restored full service after a temporary disruption that affected access to the platform for users worldwide.

The outage was linked to an issue within the platform’s recommendation system, which prevented videos from appearing across various YouTube services. The disruption impacted the main website, mobile app, YouTube Music, Kids, and TV.

According to outage-tracking platform Downdetector, more than 320,000 users in the United States reported problems at the peak of the incident. Similar disruptions were also recorded in several other regions, including India, the United Kingdom, Australia and Mexico.

YouTube confirmed that the technical issue has now been resolved and that all services are operating normally again. The company stated that the malfunction had temporarily interrupted video visibility rather than playback infrastructure.

The reported figures were based on user submissions, meaning the actual number of affected users may have varied. The swift resolution helped limit broader service impact across global audiences.
