Samsung’s Odyssey G51F Gaming Monitor Falls to Record Low Price

The Samsung Odyssey G51F is currently available at its lowest recorded price since launch, with Amazon offering the 27-inch gaming display for approximately $170. The discount marks a 32 percent reduction from the monitor’s original $250 retail price introduced in August 2025.

The price cut places the Odyssey G51F among the more affordable options in the increasingly competitive 1440p high-refresh-rate gaming monitor segment.

Samsung Upgrades Refresh Rate and Adaptive Sync Support

The Odyssey G51F serves as an updated version of Samsung’s earlier G51C model, retaining many of the specifications that made the previous display popular among budget-conscious PC gamers.

The monitor features a 2560×1440 resolution paired with a VA panel designed to deliver deeper contrast levels compared to many IPS alternatives. Samsung also includes a 1ms response time and a 3000:1 contrast ratio aimed at improving motion clarity and image depth during gaming.

One of the biggest upgrades comes through the refresh rate increase from 165Hz on the older G51C to 180Hz on the new model. Samsung additionally upgraded adaptive sync compatibility from AMD FreeSync Premium to FreeSync Premium Pro.

Positioned as a Strong Budget-Friendly Gaming Option

While the improvements over the previous generation may not justify an upgrade for existing G51C owners, the discounted pricing significantly changes the value proposition for new buyers entering the gaming monitor market.

At around $170, the Odyssey G51F competes aggressively against other 27-inch 1440p gaming displays while still carrying Samsung’s Odyssey branding and feature set.

The monitor’s combination of high refresh rate performance, QHD resolution and VA panel contrast makes it particularly appealing for users focused on competitive multiplayer titles as well as immersive single-player gaming experiences.

Sale Timing Remains Unclear

The discounted pricing has reportedly remained active for roughly a week, though it is currently unknown how long the promotion will continue.

As monitor manufacturers continue expanding into higher refresh rates and OLED technologies, aggressive discounts on traditional LCD gaming displays have become increasingly common across the mid-range market.
