Geekom GeekBook M16 Gets Its First Price Cut to $809

Laptop prices have climbed sharply amid the ongoing AI-driven memory and storage shortage, making strong deals increasingly difficult to find. The Geekom GeekBook M16 offers a relatively capable productivity setup for $809 after its first price cut, down from $899.

Strong Performance for Everyday Work

The GeekBook M16 is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 185H, a 16-core Meteor Lake processor with speeds of up to 5.1GHz. It also includes an NPU for AI workloads and integrated Intel Arc graphics capable of handling 1080p gaming and video work.

The system comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. That combination should be sufficient for Windows 11, office applications, browsing and everyday multitasking, although the storage capacity may feel limited for users working with large video files or projects.

Long Battery Life, Average Display

The laptop features an aluminum unibody design and weighs around 3.8 pounds. Its 16-inch display uses a 1920×1200 IPS panel, but the 60Hz refresh rate and 300-nit brightness make it more suitable for indoor productivity than outdoor use or visually demanding work.

The $809 price is the laptop’s lowest since its June launch and represents a $90 discount. Given the current laptop market, that makes the GeekBook M16 an appealing option for commuters, remote workers and travelers who prioritize battery life.

The laptop has a 4.6-star rating across more than 75 reviews, with users praising its build quality, performance and battery life. The main complaints concern the mediocre display and soldered RAM, which prevents future memory upgrades.
