Epic Games Store Kicks Off Annual Winter Sale with Free Games and Discounts
The Epic Games Store has officially launched its highly anticipated annual winter sale, offering discounts on a wide range of games, along with the chance to claim several free PC games. As with previous years, Epic is giving away 16 games over the course of the sale, though the specific titles remain under wraps for now. Past giveaways have included both indie darlings and big AAA games like Control and Death Stranding, so excitement is already building among gamers.
The first free title available is The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, which will remain free until 8 AM on December 19. After that, more free games will be released daily, providing plenty of opportunities for Epic Games Store account holders to grab new titles at no cost.
The winter sale itself runs until 11 AM on January 9, 2025, offering discounts across Epic’s catalog. Additionally, purchases made during the sale will contribute to the Epic Rewards program, where buyers will receive 10% back to use on future purchases—double the usual 5% offered outside of special events.
