Windows 10 Users Can Now Upgrade to Windows 11 Version 24H2 – Here’s How
Microsoft is offering Windows 10 users an enticing deal: a free upgrade to Windows 11, version 24H2 (2024 Update), and the rollout is now underway. This phased update is aimed at eligible Windows 10 PCs, and Microsoft is actively encouraging users to make the transition as it makes Windows 11 the central focus.
This update will be available for devices that meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11, such as a TPM 2.0 chip. To check if your PC qualifies, simply head to Settings > Windows Update, where you’ll find version 24H2 waiting if your device meets the specs. Keep in mind that the update may not appear immediately, as Microsoft is rolling it out gradually.
If you’re using Windows 10 Home, you’ll be upgraded to Windows 11 Home, while those on Windows 10 Pro will transition to Windows 11 Pro. However, if you need to switch from Home to Pro, you’ll need to make that upgrade separately.
