Razer has revealed the price of its limited-edition Boomslang 20th Anniversary gaming mouse, and it has sparked debate across the PC gaming community. The retro-inspired peripheral, which combines modern hardware with a throwback transparent design, will cost $1,337 when pre-orders open.
The Boomslang anniversary model was first announced as a collector-focused release celebrating two decades of Razer hardware. It features updated internal components, a nostalgic ergonomic shell, and a transparent casing with leather-like accents. Each unit also includes a display frame that showcases the internal components, a wireless charging pad, and optional glass mouse feet.
Despite its premium packaging and limited production run, the price point has drawn attention for being significantly higher than most high-end gaming mice. Even Razer’s standard flagship models typically fall below $200, making the anniversary Boomslang one of the most expensive gaming mice ever released.
Limited-edition hardware has become increasingly common in the gaming peripheral market, often aimed at collectors and enthusiasts willing to pay for exclusivity. While the Boomslang anniversary model is positioned as a celebratory product rather than a mainstream accessory, its pricing highlights the growing gap between standard gaming hardware and luxury-tier releases.
Pre-orders for the anniversary mouse are expected to open soon, with availability likely restricted due to its limited-edition status.
