Maingear has just unveiled its latest gaming powerhouse: the ML-17. This new gaming laptop is packed with top-of-the-line hardware and introduces Thunderbolt 5 support, making it one of the most exciting releases on the market. With its impressive specs, it’s so advanced, it might as well breathe fire.

Maingear, renowned for its high-performance custom PCs, has stayed true to its design roots with the ML-17. While it maintains a similar aesthetic to the previous ML-16 model, the ML-17 features a larger 17.3-inch display, catering to gamers who crave expansive visuals.

Under the hood, the ML-17 is loaded with an Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Mobile GPU, up to 64GB of RAM, and up to three 4TB SSDs for a total of 12TB of storage. The 2560×1440 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate ensure sharp, smooth gameplay, while Nvidia’s G-Sync technology helps minimize screen tearing.

Additional features include a full-sized keyboard with customizable RGB lighting, a robust 99 watt-hour battery, stereo speakers, and a durable metal chassis. The dual Thunderbolt 5 ports offer faster connectivity and support for high-refresh-rate external monitors.

Although the ML-17 continues Maingear’s tradition of top-tier gaming laptops, the new Thunderbolt 5 ports are a notable upgrade. At a starting price of $3,899, the ML-17 is a premium choice for serious gamers.
