LEGO is taking Star Wars fandom to the next level with its latest release: a massive Death Star set that dwarfs nearly every other LEGO creation. Officially known as Death Star 75419, the set measures 20.5 x 18.9 x 15.1 inches and includes an astounding 9,023 pieces, making it one of the largest LEGO sets ever. Only a handful of LEGO sets, like the Eiffel Tower 10307 and Titanic 10294, surpass it in size.

This is also the largest LEGO Star Wars set to date, celebrating the original film that introduced iconic characters like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo. Builders can explore detailed interiors such as the rubbish chute, Emperor Palpatine’s throne room, Princess Leia’s cell, the tractor beam controls, and the Imperial shuttle hangar. While the set’s exterior is faithful to the Death Star, some fans note that its “death disc” design is a bit of a compromise for structural reasons.

The set includes 38 minifigures, featuring multiple versions of Luke Skywalker (including Jedi and Stormtrooper disguises), Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and two droids. LEGO’s announcement emphasizes the interactive possibilities: “Whether you’re re-enacting the lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi, swinging across the retractable bridge with Luke and Leia, or simply admiring the architectural power of the Death Star, this set is a must-have for Star Wars collectors.”
