At IFA 2025, Lenovo revealed one of its most ambitious gaming laptops to date: the Legion Pro 7 16 Gen 10, powered by AMD’s brand-new Ryzen 9 9000 HX series processors. Designed to blur the line between a portable gaming rig and a creator’s workstation, the latest Legion Pro 7 is built for users who demand uncompromising performance in both play and productivity.
At the heart of the new machine is the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, a flagship-class processor designed to tackle everything from competitive gaming to video rendering. This powerhouse CPU is paired with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 graphics, setting the stage for high-end performance in even the most demanding titles. To ensure that this level of hardware runs smoothly under heavy loads, Lenovo has deployed its Legion Coldfront: Vapor cooling system, which uses advanced hyperchamber technology to support up to 275 watts of total power draw. In other words, the laptop is engineered to keep its components running cool and stable, even at sustained peak performance levels.
Performance extends beyond raw horsepower to storage and memory. The Legion Pro 7 can be configured with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a blisteringly fast 2TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD, providing both speed and capacity for games, creative projects, and everyday multitasking. The display is equally impressive: a 16-inch 2560×1600 OLED panel boasting a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.08ms response time. The combination of OLED contrast and color accuracy with esports-grade speed makes it ideal for both competitive gaming and high-end creative workflows like video editing or color grading.
The laptop ships with Windows 11, giving users access to Microsoft’s latest features and optimizations. More importantly, Lenovo has designed this generation of the Legion Pro 7 as a complete performance ecosystem where the CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage work in unison. The result is a machine that doesn’t just push limits—it redefines what’s possible in a gaming laptop. The Legion Pro 7 16 Gen 10 will be available starting in November 2025, with a base price of $2,399, positioning it as a flagship option in the premium gaming and creative laptop market.
