Qualcomm-powered Arm laptops continue to impress when it comes to battery efficiency, and the HP OmniBook 5 is leading the pack. Currently available on Amazon for $549.99, this ultraportable laptop combines long-lasting endurance with a lightweight design, making it an ideal companion for students, travelers, and remote workers. In standardized 4K video tests, the OmniBook 5 lasted over 24 hours, cementing its status as one of the most efficient laptops ever tested.

Key features include a 14-inch OLED display, an IR camera for Windows Hello face unlock, and a featherlight 2.98-pound (1.35 kg) frame. The Amazon version comes with a Snapdragon X Plus processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage, though it does not have a touchscreen. While this configuration handles everyday tasks—office work, web browsing, and media consumption—gaming is limited due to modest graphics performance. 2D games run smoothly, but triple-A 3D titles are out of reach.

It’s worth noting that real-world usage will yield lower battery life than the 24+ hour benchmark, potentially around half that time, depending on workload. Still, this demonstrates how Qualcomm’s Arm architecture prioritizes efficiency without sacrificing portability. As a new, not refurbished model at this price, the OmniBook 5 represents a rare combination of endurance, design, and value, and the current deal is expected to remain steady through the upcoming Black Friday shopping period.
