Microsoft has reorganized its Copilot division by combining its consumer and commercial teams as it seeks to accelerate development and adoption of its artificial intelligence assistant.

The restructuring is intended to streamline product development and strengthen the company’s competitive position in the rapidly evolving AI assistant market.

Under the new structure, leadership responsibilities will shift to allow Microsoft’s AI chief to focus more directly on long-term artificial intelligence initiatives, including advanced model development.

The company has seen strong growth in user engagement with its AI tools, with both consumer and enterprise Copilot services gaining traction.

Microsoft continues to expand its AI strategy through partnerships and internal research efforts aimed at building more powerful systems capable of handling complex tasks.
