AI voice startup Wispr Flow has nearly tripled its valuation to $2 billion in just nine months after raising $280 million in Series B funding.
The round was led by existing investor Menlo Ventures, with participation from Notable Capital, NEA, Neo Ventures and several new backers. Wispr Flow has now raised a total of $361 million.
The San Francisco-based company develops AI-powered dictation software that converts speech into text for writing and workplace tasks. Its products are already used by more than 10,000 enterprises, reflecting growing demand for hands-free productivity tools.
Wispr also unveiled Canto, its first proprietary speech-recognition model. The company says the new system significantly reduces transcription errors in difficult environments involving background noise, strong accents, wind or music.
The funding reflects broader investor enthusiasm for AI software, robotics and semiconductor startups, although analysts caution that maintaining rapid growth becomes harder as companies move beyond early adopters.
