Webflow is making AI-generated website components easier to refine after the first prompt. Announced on September 2, its new visual editing tools let designers adjust elements directly on the canvas instead of requesting another AI revision for every small change.
More Control After Generation
Designers can select an element inside an AI code component and change its appearance through the Style Panel. Text can also be edited directly on the canvas. When a larger change does require AI assistance, a selected element can be included as prompt context, helping focus the request on the intended part of the component.
The update brings generated components closer to the editing experience used for native Webflow elements.
Why It Matters
For teams building marketing pages, the practical appeal is a shorter path from a generated starting point to a finished design. A headline correction or spacing adjustment no longer needs to become a new conversation with an assistant.
