When could Joker: Folie à Deux be released on VOD?
Much depends on how Todd Philips’ new feature will perform at the global box office. However, Joker: Folie à Deux is expected to be one of the biggest films of the year. We pressume it will attract DC universe fans, movie enthusiasts and music lovers who want to see how Lady Gaga will perform on the big screen.
If the audience for Joker 2 is indeed high, Warner Bros., the studio behind the film, will have no reason to release the movie on VOD anytime soon. The studio’s most profitable films from 2023 and 2024 – Barbie, Wonka, Dune: Part 2 or Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire – hit digital platforms a month and a half after the theatrical release.
Thus, if Joker: Folie à Deux doesn’t fail at the box office, it may become available for purchase or rental around mid-November 2024.

When will Joker: Folie à Deux be released on DVD/Blu-ray?In the US, physical copies of Warner Bros. films generally appear quickly after VOD release. The smashing hits mentioned above, such as Barbie or Dune: Part 2, arrived on DVD and Blu-ray just a month after being released on digital platforms.
If Joker: Folie à Deux follows a similar path, its physical copies may become available around mid-December 2024. Due to the upcoming Christmas and shopping frenzy, this date would work in favour of profits from sales, so this prediction feels likely.
When could Joker: Folie à Deux be released on streaming services?
It’s more difficult to determine when a new Joker movie might drop on streaming because Warner Bros. doesn’t have one set pattern here.
Barbie didn’t hit Max until nine weeks after its release on DVD and Blu-ray. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire took three weeks, while Wonka only needed 10 days. In contrast, this year’s massive blockbuster, Dune: Part 2 appeared on streaming just a week after the physical editions were released.
The earliest Joker: Folie à Deux could appear on streaming is the end of December. On the other hand, Warner Bros. may wait until 2025 to bring the film on Max in the US and on Sky and Now in the UK.
