It’s down from an initial launch price of £849.99, to a current price £769.99, to £619.99 now in the sale from Dyson UK.

At Dyson US, it’s reduced from $949.99 down to $799.99.
We reviewed the Gen5detect and it’s simply one of the best vacuum cleaners around. It’s insanely powerful, has a good battery life and just about every feature you could hope for in a vacuum.
We particularly like its dust-illuminating green laser, swappable battery and its cleaning accessories, including its inline crevice cleaning tool and the clever hair screw tool, which prevents long hair from tangling around the roller and instead whips it straight into the bin.

But if you want the most budget-friendly buy at the moment, you won’t find it in the Dyson sale. Instead, head to Currys in the UK, where you can find the Dyson V8 for just £229.99. It’s £100 off – and easily the best price available for this model. Dyson’s own sale price is £249.99, but this does include Dyson’s furniture cleaning kit accessories, which the brand says are worth £50.
In the US, the best offer is from QVC, where the V8 is available for just $299.98.
