Modern graphics cards have ballooned in size over the years, with triple-slot and even quad-slot designs becoming increasingly common. But Inno3D is bucking that trend with its latest RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 iChill Frostbite Pro GPUs—cards that are not only slim and compact but also impressively powerful. These custom liquid-cooled models are among the smallest high-end GPUs we’ve seen in years, offering extreme performance in a form factor slim enough to fit into systems with severe space constraints.
The RTX 5090 iChill Frostbite Pro comes in at just 223mm in length, 134mm in height, and a mere 20mm thick—an incredibly compact design for a flagship GPU. Its sibling, the RTX 5080 version, is even smaller at 187mm by 110mm. Both models use full-cover custom water blocks for cooling, making them ideal for users with existing custom liquid-cooling loops or those willing to build one. The cards also include premium features like a carbon fiber backplate and reinforced design to maintain aesthetics and structural rigidity despite their slim profile.
However, as is often the case with high-performance components, the sleek form factor comes with trade-offs. You’ll need a custom loop setup with a radiator, reservoir, and pump to use either card, and Inno3D recommends at least a 1000W PSU for the RTX 5090 due to its high power demands. That means these GPUs are targeting only the most committed enthusiasts—those already invested in premium cooling and likely building rigs that easily pass the $4,000 mark.
While pricing and availability are still unknown, early listings suggest a release may be imminent. If you’re not prepared to invest heavily in a top-tier custom cooling setup, you might want to look at alternatives like MSI’s liquid-cooled RTX 5090, which comes with a pre-built AIO solution, though it’s considerably bulkier and less refined in comparison.
