When will laptops with AMD’s next-gen Ryzen chips be available? While AMD has only committed to a July release, tech enthusiasts are eager for more specific information. Early retail listings suggest that the first Ryzen 300 AI laptops will hit shelves on July 28th.
This prediction is based on a Best Buy store page for the Asus Zenbook S 16, which features a Ryzen AI 9 365 chip. The store pages were discovered by VideoCardz.com, and a Twitter user noted that the release date has been pushed back from an initial estimate of July 15th. The Zenbook S16 is just one of nine Asus laptops expected to include the new Ryzen chips, with others in the Vivobook, ProArt, ROG, and TUF lines.
While Best Buy, the largest electronics retailer in the US, might have accurate launch information, it’s also possible that this is merely an estimate based on supply chain predictions. Since product launches rarely occur on Sundays, this date should be taken with some skepticism. Nevertheless, with Microsoft promoting new Snapdragon-powered Surface devices, AMD and Asus are motivated to release their competitive laptops as quickly as possible.
