Nearly a decade after its debut, Brave has quietly but steadily grown into one of the most popular privacy-focused web browsers. According to a recent company blog post, Brave has now reached 100 million active monthly users as of September 2025, marking a significant jump from the 50 million milestone in 2021—a doubling over four years.
Brendan Eich, Brave’s CEO, emphasized the appeal of privacy in today’s digital world: “Across the globe, users are choosing privacy and control over their online experience, instead of Big Tech’s tracking and abuse. Every product we’ve launched since our browser—our search engine, our premium products, our ad platform—has been built with privacy protections.”
Brave’s growing ecosystem also includes Brave Search, which now handles over 20 billion queries per year, up from 2.3 billion in 2021—an 8.7x increase. Features like ad blocking, tracker protection, private Tor browsing, and granular control over cookies and JavaScript continue to make Brave a top choice for users prioritizing security and privacy online.
